Romania

An interesting wine producing country not like the high flyers of classic Old World and New World. But using some international grape varieties how do they compare to their counterparts?

1 x Lautarul Sauvignon Blanc, 2015, Romainia
Harvested at night to help preserve the fresh fruit flavours, this Sauviognon is packed full of tropical fruit with hints of lemon zest and pear drops. A wine that offers great value.

1 x Lautarul Pinot Noir, 2018, Romania
For a Pinot Noir this is quite a big wine. Wonderful juicy fruit of grapes and cherries with notes of spice and soft tannins. The finish is soft round and velvety with hints of eucalyptus.
